Who’s going to save the world?

When asked who my food hero’s are, many names come to mind. Paul Prudhomme has been a big favorite for many years, both for his food and for his humility. Others include Alice Waters, Julia Child, Wolfgang Puck and Mario Batali. Chef Dan Barber is a hero of a different sort. He’s talking (loudly) and people are listening, of the link between good farms, delicious food & a greener planet. The article "Can Farms Save the World?" found on foodandwine.com below is an example of his musings that makes me proud to be a chef in this era, and want to be an even better steward of this planet.
