Healthy levels of HDL ("good") blood cholesterol may reduce the risk of memory loss & Alzheimer’s disease

  • People with HDL levels > 55 were less likely to develop Alzheimer’s
  • HDL may help block the formation of plaque in the brain (and arteries)
  • To boost your HDL: lose excess weight, engage in moderate-vigorous exercise, limit refined foods
